A Walk Across Rip Van Winkle Bridge In New York Is Full Of Stunning Views

A few years ago, tourists passing over the Rip Van Winkle Bridge would have had to settle for cruising by in their cars. But in 2018, the bridge’s pedestrian walkway was completed, giving adventurers a chance to span the massive bridge on foot. With the Hudson River rushing below, crossing the Rip Van Winkle Bridge is an incredible experience, offering views of the river and the Catskills that are unmatched.

You’ll have a hard time finding a better opportunity to enjoy the Hudson River than the walkway of the Rip Van Winkle Bridge, and the Olana State Historic Site is worth a trip on its own. Add to that a collection of other parks, preserves and overlooks in the area, and your next weekend adventure is already marked out.
