Other famous Empire State eateries include Katz Deli in New York City, where you'll find amazing sandwiches and black and white cookies; Nick Tahou Hots in Rochester (home of the famous garbage plate), and Aqua Vino, in Utica, which makes the best chicken riggies around.
What are the most unique restaurants in New York?
There are so many dining rooms in New York that will leave you with memories of their one-of-a-kind atmosphere! Head to Spiedie & Rib Pit to try unique takes on this upstate classic sandwich, or visit Little Creek Oyster Farm & Market on Long Island to learn how to shuck your own oysters. Another must-visit spot that often flies under the radar is River Rats, up by Thousand Islands. This is the best place to find cheese curds outside of the Midwest!
