Hiding in plain sight,
The Filling Station makes an appreciated effort to keep things natural and simple.
The restaurant has only been open a couple of years and has quickly become well-known for their burgers and deliciously fresh french fries.
What was once a gas station now serves as one of our favorite local restaurants, all while looking as though it were the local repair shop.
Before the owners purchased this property it was being used as a gas station, throughout the site's history though it has also been used as fast-food style chains and other miscellaneous businesses. But, so far since The Filling Station has made this place home, it's shown no sign of that changing any time soon, so no worries!
Full of character, The Filling Station features a condiment station unlike any other you've laid your eyes on before.
The garage-themed restaurant is one that can be seen carried all throughout The Filling Station. From the quirky decor like this to the two garage doors out front and recycled tin ceiling, this restaurant is easily lovable.
With natural and organic burgers that will have you drooling uncontrollably as soon as you walk through the door, you'll have a hard time picking out which one you want.
There's quite a few options when it comes to picking out which burger you want to take on while you're here. If you're feeling completely uninspired, then take our suggestion and try out the Texaco Burger! The Texaco Burger comes with pepper jack cheese, hot peppers and barbecue sauce and is packed full of flavor.
The fresh-cut french fires are some of the best you'll ever have in New York, perfect to pair up with truffle aioli.
It's easy to keep your eyes on the main show, but there's more to The Filling Station than just their out-of-this-world burgers. From the hot dogs to the french fries, you can't enjoy your meal without making sure you have at least one side of truffle aioli at your table. To view the entire menu,
The tasty goodness doesn't stop there! You can also find locally made ice cream at this restaurant.
If you somehow manage to save room for dessert, The Filling Station features ice cream from Kingston that's made with milk from the Hudson Valley! Aside from that, the restaurant has craft beers for you to enjoy, almost all of which you'll find are from New York or other states within the Northeast.
Hours: Open every day from 11:30AM until 9PM, except on Fridays and Saturdays when they remain open until 10PM.
How to get here: 45 Route 9W West Haverstraw, NY 10993
