During these uncertain times, please keep safety in mind and consider adding destinations to your bucket list to visit at a later date.
1. The Small Towns
Lining the Hudson River, within the Hudson Valley you'll find some of our state's most exciting small towns. Not only are these towns filled with intriguing history that will give you a greater insight into the state of New York and its past, but they're also surrounded by scenic sights that will keep you in awe all year round.
2. The Adventure
To those who live in New York and use our state as their own personal playground, you'll have the most thrilling time exploring the Hudson Valley. Within this region, you'll find all sorts of unique landscapes that you won't see anywhere else in our state, even equipped with the 750-mile biking and hiking Empire State Trail that will bring out the adventurer in you!
3. Its Close Proximity To The City
Giving you the best of both worlds, those who live in the Hudson Valley will only find themselves about an hour north of the Big Apple. To those who call the Hudson Valley their home, they get to enjoy both the greatness of living upstate where you're surrounded by incredible scenery
and having the luxury of being just a quick car or train ride away from the greatest city in the world! What more could you ask for?
4. The Food Scene
One of the delicious destinations that Forbes highlighted was
Lil' Deb's Oasis
an eatery we've also showcased over here at Only In New York! The little slice of tropical paradise in small-town New York brings something delicious to the table, while Forbes also made note of the new Hudson Valley Food Hall in Beacon that's an absolute delight to visit as well.
5. Accommodations and Spas
Historic inns and modern spas can be found all throughout this region of New York, but Forbes was quick to highlight one of our favorite destinations - Mirbeau Inn & Spa Rhinebeck. One of three Mirbeau locations that you'll find in our state, down in Rhinebeck you'll be able to spend the night in this luxurious 50-room inn that also has an award-winning spa. What more could you ask for?
That's right, coming this year to the state of New York LEGOLAND will be open before you know it! More than 15,000 lego models will make up this one-of-a-kind park, coming to the small town of Goshen this July. To read more about LEGOLAND New York,
