People Love The Hot Dogs From This New Jersey Restaurant So Much, They’re Shipped All Over The Country

When I'm not in New Jersey, there are a few things I really miss. The first is my family, the second is food. I've eaten all across America and I'm never quite satisfied with the pizza, bagels, or baked goods and it's nearly impossible to find pork roll. Jimmy Buff's is an iconic New Jersey eatery that first opened in Newark back in 1932.

85 years later, there are two locations - West Orange and Kenilworth.

The beloved restaurant is basically a New Jersey institution at this point. I can't imagine the Garden State without Jimmy Buff's.

They serve up burgers, sausage, cheesesteaks, chicken fingers, mozz sticks and more but they're famous for their Italian hot dogs.

While they do offer mouthwatering American-style hot dogs, the Italian hot dogs have garnered national acclaim.

Their own creation, the Italian hot dog is a fried frank topped with fried peppers, onions and potatoes inside an Italian pizza bread roll.

Jimmy Buff’s has been featured on the Travel Channel, Every Day with Rachael Ray, the Chicago Tribune and been named one of the "20 Best Hotdogs in the US" by Yahoo Food.

Jimmy Buff's has even made its way into space! Astronaut brothers and New Jersey natives, Scott and Mark Kelly (Scott is pictured) brought a Jimmy Buff’s t-shirt to the International Space Station.
