We’ve Found The Most Stunning Restaurant In New Jersey And You’ll Want To Visit
The title of “most stunning” is certainly subjective. After all, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. However, I think many of us can agree that this restaurant is a truly enchanting place to dine. While there are many other Garden State eateries that parallel this particular restaurant in terms of charm, most have already heard of places like the Walpack Inn and Rat’s at Grounds For Sculpture. I hope I can delight you all with a new discovery, though it is already quite popular.
Scarborough Fair Restaurant is an upscale eatery located in Sea Girt, New Jersey.
A farmhouse from the 1850s until the 1970s, this eatery is overflowing with rustic charm. It offers unique multi-level dining and a few very special features.
You'll find a magnificent menu offering options like steak and seafood.
Their menu is best described as "New American" but they also offer delicious dishes from around the world. They "source the finest and freshest locally grown, sustainable and organic ingredients." And, they "use humanely raised organic meats and poultry, wild fish and shellfish or purchase fresh from local fisheries." The raw bar is a favorite and you'll also want to check out the wine list.
But, ultimately, it's the incredible atmosphere that makes this eatery stand out.
Fall in love with stained glass panels and mood lighting. You'll find twinkle lights, small candles and six special brass lamps. Each is different; one was imported from Turkey and was formerly at the Palms Restaurant of The Plaza Hotel in New York.
The restaurant features two curved, brick stairways. Along each stairway are 3 private tables, in "nooks." Each table is on its own level, making you feel like you have an entire floor to yourself.
As if the lighting, decor, warm colors and private alcoves aren't enough, they offer a very romantic cocktail.
You and your partner will each get a martini - one is chocolate, the other is strawberry. You'll also get a third glass to mix the two as you please. How sweet!
