New Jersey was one of the most important states in the early days of this country’s birth – so why does it seem like all the coolest symbols of America are located in its neighbors? There’s a miniature Liberty Bell in Perth Amboy that’s worth a visit – especially since it’s located alongside some of the state’s most interesting historic buildings, including the oldest City Hall in the United States. Perth Amboy is a fascinating town, and while some of the historical sites here can only be accessed via tours, this replica of one of the country’s greatest treasures can be seen by just walking up.
