Test Your Bravery At iFLY Indoor Skydiving In New Jersey

iFLY indoor skydiving in New Jersey offers a thrilling skydiving experience without jumping out of an airplane.

Up for an adventure? New Jersey offers plenty of heart-pumping outdoor fun. Parasailing? Absolutely. Rafting? Of course! Skydiving? Hold that thought. Maybe you're not quite ready to jump out of a plane thousands of feet in the sky. (We don't blame you.) Still, if you love the idea of being weightless, floating in the sky, then we might have just the adventure for you. iFLY indoor skydiving in New Jersey is your chance to enjoy all of the high-flying, adrenaline-pumping feelings -- minus the whole, you know, jumping out of an airplane thing. Let's take a look...

iFLY Indoor Skydiving is set to start scheduling flights in April.

It will be the first indoor skydiving arena in New Jersey! What is indoor skydiving? It's an epic wall-to-wall wind tunnel that simulates the skydiving experience without needing to be thousands of feet in the sky. The project is being manufactured by SkyVenture, who crafted their first tunnel in Orlando back in 1999. Indoor skydiving has been offering safe thrills for nearly two decades!

So, what do you need to know about indoor skydiving?

You don't jump in blind...you'll be geared up (with a jumpsuit, helmet, goggles, and earplugs) and trained on best practices and diving positions by a skilled instructor. The entire process may take up to two hours, with flights lasting 2-6 minutes (at first). Longer flight times are offered, depending on the package you purchase.

There are a few restrictions...

But not many! Flyers must be at least three years old and under 300 pounds. Flyers over 260 pounds must contact the facility before flying. You should not fly if you are pregnant or have previous shoulder dislocations. What will it cost? Based on other locations, you're looking at around $60 for 2 minutes and $110 for 4 minutes. It's worth it! Many locations offer photo/video packages and a viewing area so friends can take photos. You can also likely add a "high flight," where an instructor holds on to the side of the flyer and flies up and down. This is almost always the highlight of a person’s first flight experience.

Here are the details on the New Jersey location...

You'll find it at 211 E State Route 4, Paramus. It's set to open in the middle of April and you can be sure that fun awaits. You might just get hooked. Skilled flyers can learn to do flips and tricks in the tunnels. The Paramus tunnel will be 14 feet in diameter.
