You’ve Never Seen Anything Like This Bizarre New Jersey Boardwalk Funhouse

The Jersey Shore is iconic, and all of us New Jersey residents have fond memories of the place - but for me, there was no location down the shore that influenced my childhood more than Jenkinson's Boardwalk in Point Pleasant Beach. This place is so much more than a beach - there's a collection of arcades, a mini-golf course, an amusement park, and even an acclaimed aquarium. But at one point, a new attraction opened - and it instantly became the place's standout feature. There is a massive, two-story funhouse on the Jersey Shore, and this isn't your ordinary carnival attraction. This is a surreal, interactive experience that must be seen to be believed. So step inside the strangest, funniest place on the Jersey Shore!

The massive clown-faced exterior greets you as you approach the Jenkinson's Funhouse - the most bizarre attraction at the Jersey Shore.

Once you pay your admission of $8, you're not in just yet - you've got to find your way in via a winding mirror maze!

From there, welcome to an offbeat landscape featuring old-fashioned audio-animatronics cutting wise.

A surreal clown tunnel beckons you deeper into the house, as things get really strange...

A second mirror maze, this one themed to a magic castle, heralds the start of the strangest portion of the maze.

No portion of the funhouse is more famous than the iconic "Fart Hallway". Step on the, um, decorations to hear some colorful sounds!

From there, your journey will take you through a mad scientist's lab, a wild west shooting gallery, and even a jungle.

When you come to the land of the pirates, you'll know you've made it out of this house of laughs and scares!

Wondering where we got all these amazing photos? Jacob the Carpetbagger, a popular travel blogger known for his love of strange roadside and boardwalk attractions, took us on an epic journey through the entire funhouse, as well as some other spots on the boardwalk, in this video posted in 2022.

You can find out more on the official Jenkinson's website, and Jenkinson's Facebook page will let you know all about seasonal operations through the off-season. This is just one reason to visit Point Pleasant Beach, though - we think it's the friendliest town in New Jersey. If you're planning a getaway here, consider checking into the White Sands Oceanfront Resort and Spa, only minutes from the boardwalk.
