The Best Biscuits In America Can Be Found In Small Town New Jersey
The Buttered Biscuit in Bradley Beach, New Jersey, is renowned for its light, flaky biscuits and exceptional breakfast offerings.
New Jersey definitely has the best dining scene in America. Sure, cities like New York and Los Angeles may edge out our cities but, as a whole, no state does food better. We've been called the "best state for foodies" and the "unsung hero of American eating" by Saveur Magazine and I couldn't agree more. Have you tried the Portuguese food in Newark or any of our iconic hot dog joints? But New Jersey does another thing best - biscuits.
Opened in 2011, The Buttered Biscuit is a more recent addition to the Bradley Beach restaurant scene.
It quickly became a favorite thanks, in part, to its light, flaky biscuits.
These biscuits can be enjoyed in several ways. Have them as a side or as part of a sandwich.
The fluffy, flavorful biscuits also come in a miniature size. Biscuits are served with homemade cinnamon, honey butter and jam.
When the restaurant first opened, the biscuits would regularly sell out. They solved that problem by making more.
It's not all about the biscuits though, they also offer one of the best breakfasts in the state.
One of the most popular dishes is the corned beef hash, pictured.
You'll also find breakfast burritos, omelettes and hot off the grill crumb cake.
They also serve sandwiches and salads for lunch, along with other American classics. And, they recently added a delectable dinner menu!
Open daily for breakfast and lunch from 8 a.m. - 3 p.m., dinner is served Wednesday - Saturday, 5 p.m. - 9 p.m. You can visit at 700 Main Street, Bradley Beach. For more great breakfasts in New Jersey, check out this list.
