There’s A Schoolbus Getaway Hiding In New Hampshire And It’s Awesome
Unique getaways are all the rage these days – and from yurts to treehouses, there’s no shortage of them in New Hampshire. If you want to really break the mold, though, we’ve found the perfect place for you.
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. While we continue to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, please take proper precautions or add them to your bucket list to see at a later date. If you know of a local business that could use some extra support during these times, please nominate them here: onlyinyourstate.com/nominate
This converted schoolbus in Thornton, New Hampshire, can be rented on AirBnB for a whimsical and fun stay.
With a cozy bed, an indoor hammock, and a desk, it's the perfect place to escape from it all, relax, and perhaps work on some creative pursuits without any distractions.
This is definitely a rustic adventure - the bus does not have plumbing, so you'll be using an outhouse. It's lit by a solar lamp and flashlights are recommended, but there is an extension cord you can use for power as needed.
But we think the rustic nature of the bus just adds to its charm. In the evening, sit outside and build a fire in the fire pit before you retire to your cozy bus, with the sounds of nature putting you to sleep.
