There are plenty of places to enjoy a meal in New Hampshire, but we especially love the more unique options. From historic inns to the spots that sit on the water, there are so many places to eat offering either views or special menus. In fact, you could spend weeks enjoying a different spot each night. Unfortunately, not everyone has the time or money to do that. That’s why we like to maximize our dining out and this spot, which has been around since the 1960s, is a great way to do it!
Parker's Maple Barn in Mason might just be the best breakfast spot in New Hampshire! They've been around since the 1960s, which means there's been plenty of time to perfect their craft.
The restaurant began as just a sugar shack, built and operated by the Parker Family. The restaurant has been owned by the Roberts Family for over 30 years, but we love that the original sugar shack is still operational.
And that's why it makes perfect sense that this place is a beloved breakfast institution! It was bound to happen when you churn out some of the best maple syrup in New England.
The restaurant served breakfast, brunch and lunch and it's almost always packed with a mix of visitors and locals. Inside this place is quintessentially New England and as cozy as you'd imagine it to be.
What makes Parker's so special is the fact that a visit means a great meal, some shopping and (if you plan your visit right!) education on just what it takes to be a working maple farm.
This is one of the most New Hampshire places you can visit, making it great for times when visitors are in town. Or, when you simply need a little reminder of just how lucky you are to be here!
Parker’s Maple Barn is open Thursday through Monday from 8 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. You can learn more about everything they offer and check out their menu by visiting their website. They can be reached on 603-878-2308.
