For most of us everyday life in New Hampshire feels pretty normal. We go to work, go to school and spend time with our friends and family. But every so often something happens that reminds us that maybe we’re not all that typical after all. From winter to summer and all the months in between we have some weird traditions that we hold on to.
Once winter is really in full swing we always have our fingers crossed for a snow storm that's big enough to close schools. The best way to ensure that? Wearing our PJs turned inside out, of course! Why? Who knows, but we're not risking a good snow storm by not doing it.
We waited all summer for a snow day and when those first flakes start to fall, it's all we can do to keep from putting on a full snowsuit. No matter how much snow falls in that first storm, we look at it like it's the harshest winter we've ever seen.

In New Hampshire we're surrounded by tons of history. From shops to museums to covered bridges. So it's not uncommon to jump in the car and head off on a road trip. Not to an amusement park or the beach, but things like covered bridges. In fact, click here for a great day trip!

Forget Starbucks. If we're on the go and need a coffee, we're going to Dunks. It's reliable, great tasting and most importantly, it's a New England tradition. Of course, that's when our local shop isn't nearby. We always love the local folks most.
