The Beautiful Lavender Farm Hiding In Plain Sight In Nebraska That You Need To Visit

Lavender is known as a fussy plant that’s difficult to grow outside of the perfect climate. Nebraska, of course, has anything but the “perfect” climate. But there are a couple of wonderful lavender farms making it work after a process of trial and error. Peace, Love and Lavender, just outside of Elwood, has been growing lavender since 2013, and the owners have turned their hobby into a lucrative full-time business.

We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. While we continue to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, please take proper precautions or add them to your bucket list to see at a later date. If you know of a local business that could use some extra support during these times, please nominate them here:

The farm is open to the public on weekends beginning in mid-June through Labor Day, with several special events taking place in that time. It isn’t a super well-known attraction yet, so visiting is a peaceful, leisurely experience. Get more information and follow along with special events on their Facebook page.
