Late Nights at the Zoo is a summer event that takes place over several Thursdays from May through September. As of the time of publication, there's only one date left for 2019: September 19th.

Although you can't wander the entire zoo after dark, several exhibits are open to nighttime guests. Visit the Lied Jungle, Kingdoms of the Night, and Scott Aquarium for an entirely unique experience.

Check out this video of bats flying in the Lied Jungle after dark. That's something you can't see during regular visiting hours!

You can see animals that aren't usually active during daytime hours. And because there are far fewer visitors at night, you won't have to elbow your way through the crowds in front of your favorite animals.
Late Nights at the Zoo also features food available for purchase from local food trucks. One drink ticket is included with admission and allows guests to enjoy a beer, hard cider or seltzer, or glass of wine for no additional charge. Non-alcoholic beverages are also available, as are additional drink tickets.

Late Nights at the Zoo takes place from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. on select Thursdays from May through September. In 2019, the one remaining date is September 19th, but the event will kick off again next May. Learn more about the unique after-hours event right here.
