Buying from local businesses is one of the best ways we have to support our friends and neighbors in Nebraska. One store in Columbus is filled with the creative products of more than 15 local artists and artisans, and you’ll want to see and buy it all.

Urban Farm Boutique is a labor of love for owner Patti Stuthman. She and her husband owned a store in the early 2000s selling their handicrafts. After 16 years of working for someone else, Patti wanted to get back to what she really loves: being creative.

Urban Farm Boutique opened in Columbus in August 2017. It's filled with objects refurbished or made from new by Patti, her husband, and a collective of other artists.

The 2,000-square-foot building that houses the store is spacious enough to hold a wide variety of products. Find everything from decor and furniture to clothing and even sweet treats like homemade marshmallows.

The other artists and artisans who share the space are also from Nebraska. A few select items hail from outside of the Cornhusker State, like the aforementioned marshmallows, but they're the exception rather than the rule.
