If you're walking around Valentine, though, you'll have the perfect chance to do just that. Broken Spoke Boutique is a charming shop that you just can't help but visit.

Welcome to Broken Spoke Boutique in Valentine, Nebraska!

This sweet little space was originally occupied by Nebraska State Bank from the building's construction in 1915 until the bank closed in 1964.

After that, the building cycled through a number of uses for another 50 years. In that time, its original luster was covered up or lost. When North Carolina native Whitney Mayhew moved to town, she saw the potential within these walls. The space was restored and remodeled with a special eye toward using building elements from the early 20th century.

The boutique opened in 2016, offering a variety of handmade and locally-produced products. When you shop here, you support not only this family-owned business but also the Nebraska-based artisans and companies that supply the store's inventory.
