The state of Wyoming has a wide range of landscapes that appear otherworldly. The geysers and rock formations really add to that out-of-this-world ambience. Here are some places in Wyoming that make it look and feel like you're on another planet.

1. Devils Tower

Devils Tower is located in Crook County in Wyoming. This odd formation is part of the Bear Lodge Mountains near Hulett and Sundance. It looks like an alien mothership will take off any moment from the top of the tower. In fact, it did in Close Encounters of the Third Kind.

2. Grand Prismatic Geyser Basin

Grand Prismatic Geyser is located in the Midway Geyser Basin in Yellowstone National Park. This looks like a great hangout for aliens.

3. Boar's Tusk

This otherworldly formation is what's left of a volcano and is located in Sweetwater County near the Killpecker Sand Dunes. This looks like an alien playground.
