Many of Wisconsin’s hiking trails boast incredible views. But sometimes, you want the amazing views, minus the strenuous hike. When that time comes, just pay a visit to Crescent Beach Boardwalk. At just one-half mile long, minimal effort is required on your part. However, miles are the only thing this trek is lacking – and that’s because as you walk along the boardwalk, you’ll be treated to amazing Lake Michigan vistas. Take a look:

You’ll find just over 3,000 residents in the tiny town of Algoma, which is nestled on the shore of Lake Michigan.

You’ll also find one of the best spots in the state to soak in the beauty of the Lake Michigan shoreline – the Crescent Beach Boardwalk.

The award-winning boardwalk connects the Algoma Visitor Center to the Algoma Marina.

At just one-half mile, it's the ideal spot for a peaceful stroll. And since it's lined with benches, you'll have plenty of opportunities to stop and soak up your surroundings.

Speaking of the surroundings, they're sure to take your breath away. From the shimmering waters of the lake to the charming Algoma Pierhead Lighthouse, the vistas are truly incredible...

...especially at sunrise.

A great visit year-round, the boardwalk offers easy beach access in the summer.

In the winter, seasonal sights, like ice shelves, are the norm. Eagle sightings are also likely in the cooler months.

If the one-half mile that the boardwalk spans just isn’t long enough for you, don’t worry. There are several paved paths in the area, so you can easily extend your stroll.
