1. Summersvile Lake

Whether you’re looking for a nice beach to lay on or a place to swim, kayak or scuba dive, Summersville Lake, with its 2700 acres of water, has it all.

2. Hawks Nest

Hawks Nest State Park Lodge offers beautiful views of the New River Gorge National River area and is home to many birds of prey including hawks, turkey vultures, black vultures and the occasional bald and golden eagles. The lodge, built in 1967, has 31 rooms.
