The Crystalline Clear Water In This West Virginia Swimming Hole Is Almost Too Good To Be True
Audra State Park offers crystal clear waters, scenic views, and family-friendly activities including swimming, picnicking, and camping.
With the arrival of warmer temperatures comes endless spring, summer, and fall fun in the many natural swimming pools found throughout The Mountain State. Even if you're not a fan of traditional swimming holes, you may make an exception for the crystalline waters of the Middle Fork River at Audra State Park.
The crystal clear waters of the Middle Fork River wind through the park providing a number of places to get in and cool off on a warm day.
The state park has a flat rock beach ideal for sunbathing or just getting out of the cool water to warm up a bit.
If your family has a four-legged member of the canine variety, then you're in luck! The many creek side spots for gathering and picnicking are ideal for family outings of the best kind. The park has a bathhouse next to the designated swimming area, and nearby picnic shelters and tables provide ample room for even large groups to get together.
Over in the camping area, campsites are located along the crystalline waters, with views that are absolutely gorgeous!
