The Pumpkins Are Huge This Year At This Fall Favorite Family Farm In West Virginia
The Pumpkin Farm At Saltwell in Bridgeport, West Virginia has reopened after several years, offering a variety of pumpkins and fall activities.
Years ago, there was a huge pumpkin patch on Saltwell Road in Bridgeport operated by the Ash family. Some of you may have fond memories of fall days spent picking out pumpkins or playing on the farm. Great news! This year, the Pumpkin Farm At Saltwell is back up and running, and the pumpkins are as big as they ever were.
The Pumpkin Farm At Saltwell was a community staple in Bridgeport, West Virginia for many years, and now it's back up and running again after a multiple-year hiatus.
Thanks to the hard work of the current owners, who are in it for the love of pumpkins, you can come see pumpkins stacked to the sky on a huge pumpkin pyramid, pick your own pumpkin up off the lawn, and enjoy a fun day roaming the farm.
And by hard work, we mean it. After the work put into prepping the fields, planting the seeds, and nurturing the tiny seedlings, the pumpkin patch went from this...
...to this...
...to this under the expert care of these pumpkin hobbyists. And the end result is nothing short of humongous.
Just look at the size of these things! And of course, there are other sizes and types of autumn squash available at the farm as well, from teeny-tiny gourds to larger-than-life giants.
Just imagine what Cinderella's fairy godmother could do with the squash at The Pumpkin Farm At Saltwell!
