The One-Of-A-Kind Schuh Farm In Washington Serves Up Fresh Homemade Pie To Die For

Schuh Farms in Skagit Valley offers seasonal activities, fresh produce, and delicious baked goods, making it a popular destination year-round.

Known for its charming towns, springtime daffodil and tulip fields, scenic drives, and quiet rural beauty, the Skagit Valley is a little piece of paradise for anyone who enjoys a quiet, slow-paced way of living. The farming community is huge here, and that means locals and visitors always have their pick of delicious fresh produce and other local treats.

The family-owned and operated Schuh Farms always makes for a great day trip destination. While their selections and events vary throughout the seasons, one thing remains consistent: their mouthwatering freshly baked pies.

Schuh Farms is located off State Route 536 in Mount Vernon, where it has been in operation for nearly 60 years.

Steve and Susan Schuh have been farming since they were married in 1963 and purchased this property soon after.

Schuh Farms is open to the public from April - December, and each season brings new offerings and adventures.

In the spring, the farm is full of beautiful flowers and plants to enjoy (and take home). Don't forget to say hi to the resident goats and chickens.

Summertime is berry season, and you can take the family out to the U-pick berry fields.

Of course, you're also welcome to let someone else do the picking and just purchase some fresh berries. While you're shopping, enjoy a fresh berry shake or smoothie from the on-site espresso stand.

Autumn is all about harvest season, with a challenging corn maze, a full pumpkin patch, fresh cider, and free hayrides, just to name a few.

Winters are a little slower, but the farm does sell Christmas trees, wreaths, and other holiday decor.

Of course, there are people who come all the way to this farm just to try the freshly baked pie.

We can't say we blame them. They're mouthwatering.

The pies are baked all year long, but flavors vary since fresh, local, seasonal ingredients are always used.

Fortunately, there truly is never a bad time for pie.

You can order your pie and other tasty baked good like cinnamon rolls online before you visit.

When you arrive, your goodies will be waiting for you.

Schuh Farms is a must-see for anyone visiting the Skagit Valley.
