Alongside scoping out Christmas lights, holiday shopping, and strolling through festive downtowns, Santa's own little reindeer farm in WA is the perfect addition to your Christmas activities list; children of all ages and kids at heart all agree that it's delightful!

Leavenworth Reindeer Farm is located a mere mile from Washington's Bavarian town (and honorary Christmas village), Leavenworth.

Leavenworth is an absolutely enchanting place to visit this time of year, and a trip to a reindeer farm will make it extra-special.

The farm sits nestled in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains, and plenty of Washingtonians don't even know it exists.

If you want to visit, you'll have to make a reservation ahead of time. But it's well worth the extra plans.

Because just look at these cuties!

The farm is open all year, aside from the month of March. That's when the family takes time to prepare for the arrival of the baby reindeer.

If you want to visit, you'll have to make a reservation ahead of time. But it's well worth the extra plans.

If you want to see these darling newborns, March-April is the best time to visit.

That being said, there's no denying that the holiday season is the ideal time to visit a reindeer farm.

For starters, Santa Claus makes appearances at farm tours from mid-November through December. And the snow adds some extra magic.

Your admission price gets you photos with Santa, hot chocolate or apple cider, and of course, plenty of reindeer interaction.

Tours take about an hour. Each tour begins with a 10-15 minute presentation, led by one of the farm owners. During the winter months, this is done around a campfire for your comfort.

After your presentation, you'll receive a little reindeer food. Then you'll be free to cautiously interact with the reindeer. Many of them will eat right out of your hand.

Before you leave, make sure to stop by the gift shop.

This is an experience you'll want to remember with a souvenir (and plenty of reindeer selfies).

But you'll also find a few other friendly critters to admire as well!

The reindeer love Christmas (and Christmas trees) as much as you do, so why not spend the holiday together?

Leavenworth Reindeer Farm tours fill up fast during the holiday season, so don't be discouraged if you have to wait until January. This is a Washington bucket list must-visit!

Have you ever visited this Washington reindeer farm? Do you have any other tips for things to do in the area?

Of course, Leavenworth itself is a pretty darling place to explore around the holidays! This charming small town is incredibly special and packed with family winter events. And if you can't bear to leave, this sweet waterfront cabin is just outside of town and is the perfect base camp for your Christmas adventures!
