Washington’s Most Refreshing Hike Will Lead You Straight To A Beautiful Swimming Hole

Denny Creek Trail in Washington offers an easy hike leading to a natural water slide and a popular swimming hole.

Washington summers may seem short, but they're also pretty magical. And if you'd rather swim in a nice cold lake or river than a public pool on a hot sunny day, you'll definitely want to check out the Denny Creek Trail. Not only is it a fairly easy hike, but it happens to lead to a natural water slide and a fantastic swimming spot - one of the best swimming holes in Washington!

The Denny Creek Trail is located near Snoqualmie Pass in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness.

From I-90, take Exit 47 to Denny Creek/Tinkham Road. Turn left at the exit ramp, then turn right at the stop sign onto Forest Road 58.

The trail is about 6 miles long out and back.

But in spite of its length, it's not exceptionally challenging.

Soon you'll come to Keekwulee Falls, which offers a fantastic viewpoint.

You'll soon find yourself immersed in the forest, and it's spectacular.

The coniferous trees form a canopy over the trail.

Eventually, you'll come to a natural water slide and a magnificent swimming hole.

Many people choose this as their stopping point, and for good reason.

Needless to say, this trail is pretty popular in the summertime.

If you'd like to avoid the crowds, go early in the day (and on a weekday). That being said, it's usually a friendly group of Washingtonians enjoying a hike and swim.

This is one of those hikes that will make you fall in love with Washington all over again.

There's also a campground along Denny Creek with plenty of picnic sites if you'd like to make a day of it (or spend the night).

If you enjoy a rewarding hike with a refreshing swim, check out the Denny Creek Trail in Washington! These hiking trails in Washington are also especially amazing in the summer, so be sure to check them out as well!
