After You Hike To The Pocosin Trail Ruins, Sleep In A Yurt In Floyd, Virginia
Explore the Pocosin Trail in Shenandoah National Park and stay in a yurt in Floyd for a perfect Virginia adventure.
When is the last time you went on an adventure? If you like road trips in the Old Dominion, then these trail ruins will entertain you plenty before you head out to sleep in a yurt for the night. Stay comfortable and entertained the whole day on this epic Virginia adventure:
Today's adventure begins with the Pocosin Trail out in Shenandoah National Park, a short and easy hike that'll give a fun outdoor start to the day.
Pocosin Trail runs just over two miles, and takes a little over an hour for most people to traverse. You can even bring your dog along, as long as he's on a leash.
Spending time outdoors to get some sun and fresh air is a great start to this Virginia adventure. After a day spent hiking, it's time to make the drive to Floyd.
After the drive, including any stops you make in between there and Floyd, it's time to bunk in for the night. This little yurt village outside of town is perfect for people who like camping but prefer not to sleep on the ground.
This 30-foot yurt includes plenty of space to sleep a small group of people, which is great if you have hiking buddies on this trip with you.
If sleeping in and stargazing from the patio or dome doesn't interest you for the rest of the day, there's plenty more to do around these parts. Luckily, this yurt mansion isn't too far from town, with plenty to do there. Adventures are what you make them, after all.
When was the last time you planned a big Virginia adventure? We think this one is pretty much perfect! If you'd like to check out the trail for yourself, visit Pocosin Trail on AllTrails. There, you can see the trail map, reviews, and more photos. For the yurt listing, you'll want to check out the Floyd Yurt Lodging listing on Airbnb.
