Three Lakes Park lives up to its name with beautiful water views as well as nature trails that meander through the woods. Not far from Mechanicsville, Virginia awaits a breathtaking natural retreat known as Three Lakes Park.
The moment you arrive, you'll be overcome by the tranquility and natural beauty that emanate from the landscape.
The best way to enjoy Three Lakes Park is by meandering along the network of nature trails that comprise a 1.4-mile loop.
First, though, you can stop by the Nature Center for more information about the park.
The Nature Center includes additional information as well as a public restroom.
Throughout the park, you'll find beautiful water overlooks that allow you to observe the wildlife around you.
Equally enchanting are the trails that meander through the woods. It's here you'll be able to observe many different kinds of birds.
Throughout the park, there are plenty of benches where you can rest and soak in the scenery.
The trail is well maintained, although there are several roots, so be sure to wear the appropriate footwear and watch your step.
Some visitors have noted that parts of the nature trails are wheel-chair accessible. Most sections are four feet in width and made up of gravel or dirt. These routes are best suited for motorized wheelchairs or all-terrain strollers.
