If you've never met an alpaca before, now's your chance. Plan a visit to Shaftsbury Alpacas in Vermont, where you can meet the herd and pick up some goodies made from alpaca fiber.
Get ready for smiles all around when you visit Shaftsbury Alpacas in North Bennington, an alpaca farm that also features a shop full of alpaca products.
However, before you shop in the Alpaca Shack, you'll definitely want to meet some of the resident alpacas. You'll be smiling before you know it - and so will they.
A dream realized for founder and owner Sandra J. Gordon, Shaftsbury Alpacas provides visitors with the chance to experience the sweet, friendly personalities of their herd.
A small donation fee is required, but it's well worth it for the experience that awaits. All admission fees help pay for the upkeep of the alpacas.

Bring cash along for the $5 donation for adults and $3 for kiddos between four and 11 years. Little ones three and younger are free.
Meet the adorable alpacas, including the ladies - Elsa, Ayla, Sophia, and Simone, to name just a few. The fellas include Gabriel and Taj Mahal.
The farm's a perfect destination if you want to meet the alpacas with the family or if you're interested in learning about becoming an alpaca breeder.
After you've met the alpacas, stop by the Alpaca Shack. There, you'll find slippers, socks, gloves, shawls, and clothes made from alpaca fiber.
