At just under 400 acres, this state park is based on a plateau within the Green Mountains that's along the Adams Reservoir. Like many state parks in Vermont, you'll find hiking trails, campsites, and plenty of opportunities to play in and on the water. Simply take VT-9 E if you're coming from Bennington to reach this oasis in the heart of Vermont.

During the park season - from the end of May until early October - be prepared to marvel at crystal blue water like what you see in this photo.

As you can see, the sandy beach within the park is an ideal setting for relaxing and unwinding.

Please note that while your furry pal is not allowed on the park's sandy beach or cabins, they are welcome to enjoy the rest of the grounds with you and your family.
