One common misconception that out-of-staters might have about Vermont, is that we all have a maple syrup tap out in our backyard. While our state is known for the finest maple syrup in the country, not all of us get the chance to get it from the tap ourselves. Luckily, there's a farm in Vermont that lets you in on the experience.

Trade Winds Farm is an adorable family-owned farm located in Shoreham, Vermont.

Tim and Loraine Hescock started the business in 2003 by selling wreaths. The following year they added syrup to their online store. Today, they have an on-site store at the farm, where visitors can come in.

People come from all over for the "Syrup-On-Tap."

Visitors can fill up their own jug with syrup that dispenses from a tap on the wall.

In addition to their classic maple syrup, they also have some specialty syrups.

Bottled and ready to go, these specialty syrups add a unique twist to a classic favorite. Take for example, the Bourbon-Aged Maple Syrup. Sounds absolutely delicious!
