Play With Penguins At This Utah Aquarium For An Absolutely Adorable Adventure

Penguins are some of the most adorable animals on the planet, and we love to visit them at the Living Planet Aquarium in Draper. Did you know that you can meet the penguins there in person? Check out the Penguin Encounter:

A visit to The Loveland Living Planet Aquarium is the perfect way to spend any day. The aquarium is open every day of the year, except for Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.

You'll meet more than 4,000 animals from countries around the world at this beautiful aquarium...

...but the penguins are a favorite.

The 20 penguins that live here are Gentoo penguins that are typically found in the sub-antarctic. They're about 30 inches tall and weigh from 11 to 19 pounds.

These adorable little creatures are waiting to meet you, and you can interact with them one-on-one at the Penguin Encounter.

Guests ages five and older can participate in this exciting encounter. First, you'll learn all about Gentoo penguins and their behavior, diet, and survival skills in the wild.

Then, go behind the scenes to meet the penguins. They'll waddle right through the door to greet you.

The keeper will give you some capelin to feed your new friends.

Needless to say, the penguins will love you even more once you give them a tasty fish snack.

Each penguin has a unique personality. Some are goofy; others are more subdued. They're all adorable.

The penguin encounter lasts about 50 minutes, and it's available Thursday through Tuesday at 1 p.m.

Only 10 people are allowed in the penguin encounter, so you'll want to book your tickets soon.

The Penguin Encounter costs $24.95 per person; $19.95 for members.
