Discover the best hiking trails in the Pacific Northwest, known for their stunning scenic views and diverse landscapes.
King’s Peak, at 13,528 feet, is the tallest mountain in Utah. It’s located in the High Uintas Wilderness in Duchesne County. The peak is named for Clarence King, the first director of the U.S. Geological Survey. There are three ways to get to the top, but most people take the Henry’s Fork Trail, which begins from the north side of the range. It’s a 30-mile round-trip hike; most people choose to backpack in on a one or two night trip.
