Spend An Autumn Day In Utah’s Scenic Logan Canyon This Season

The fall foliage is in its full glory here in the Beehive State, and now's the time to surround yourself with its splendor. While there are many places all over Utah to see the autumn leaves, one of the best is Logan Canyon. Check it out:

This fall, take a scenic drive through Logan Canyon to see some of the state's most spectacular fall foliage. This canyon is one of Utah's most beautiful.

Take U.S. Route 89 through the canyon along the Logan Canyon Scenic Byway, which stretches from the mouth of the canyon up to the summit, and winding down toward Bear Lake.

Logan Canyon is impressive year-round, but during the fall, it's even more splendid.

The canyon is full of aspens, which burst out in vibrant colors as the weather cools. The many evergreens in the canyon provide a dark green contrast to the rich autumn colors.

One of the best ways to surround yourself with the fall foliage is by taking a hike. For a fabulous fall adventure, take the 3.5-mile-long Wind Cave Trail.

The trail is rated as moderate, and you'll experience a 1,000-foot elevation change along the way. Bring plenty of water for the hike, and don't forget your camera - you're going to want to capture this gorgeous autumn landscape.

The reward for your effort? The unique Wind Cave, which offers a stunning view of the canyon 1,000 feet below.

The wind cave consists of a cave and three natural arches that have been etched out of the limestone by erosion.

From the Wind Cave, you'll have a fabulous view of China Wall, a rock cliff that stretches along the canyon.
