There’s No Better Place To Stargaze In The Entire U.S. Than In This One Spot
Although they appear every night, the stars in the night sky never cease to amaze. Whether you happen to catch the sight of a shooting star or a trace of the milky way, the spectacle is nothing short of awe-inspiring. Luckily, our gorgeous country allows for some truly spectacular stargazing. One of the best vantage points in the entire country is Death Valley National Park. The following photographs provide just a glimpse into the dazzling night sky as it appears over this beloved landmark.
Shared between Nevada and eastern California awaits one of the most striking landscapes in the entire U.S.
The colorful rocks and salt flats of Death Valley National Park have been attracting visitors for decades. And yet, one of the most exciting attractions of all can only be admired after the sun begins to set.
Death Valley National Park is the third designated International Dark Sky Park in the U.S. This means there is virtually no light pollution from the surrounding areas.
Venture out to the park at night to enjoy much cooler temperatures and see the night sky amplified with the glow of billions of stars.
The expansive horizon lends itself to a gorgeous viewing of the Milky Way as well as the occasional meteors that streak the sky.
So if you find yourself utterly enchanted with the stars, you owe yourself a trip to this 3.4-million acre dark sky park.
