The Most Romantic Valentine’s Day Hike You’ll Find in Texas

If you're bored with the usual Valentine's Day date ideas, why not change it up with a romantic hiking trail in Texas? Old Baldy, Foshee, Bridges, and Crystal Cave Trails Loop at Garner State Park is one of my top picks because it's not too crowded and offers scenic Hill Country views that stretch for miles. The 3.5-mile loop is the perfect opportunity to escape the daily grind and walk hand-in-hand with your special someone while taking in some of the most breathtaking scenery in the Lone Star State.

The trail is quite challenging with an elevation gain of roughly 1,100 feet — but it's worth the effort. From two caves to a trek through the verdant forest landscape to sweeping views of Old Baldy, there are so many different sights along the way to keep things interesting. The caves — White Rock Cave and Crystal Cave — are even more fascinating than pictures let on.
