The One Pristine Inland Beach In Texas That Will Make You Swear You’re On The Coast

Comal Park on Canyon Lake is a stunning inland beach in Texas with blue waters, white sands, and various amenities.

I've lived on the Gulf Coast all my life, so seeking out inland beaches in Texas has never really crossed my mind - but boy, do I wish I'd done it sooner! Comal Park on Canyon Lake is one of the most beautiful places I've ever come across. With piercing blue waters, white sands, and lots of other amenities, this paradisal spot will quickly become one of your new favorite warm weather destinations.

Tucked away on the south shore of Canyon Lake near the neighborhood of Startzville, Comal Park is a 116-acre inland oasis that will make you think you've left Texas and traveled to a faraway tropical paradise.

Surrounded by rocky cliffs and lush greenery, Comal Park is open from March through October on a first-come, first-served basis.

There are two swim beaches, and the sand is so pearly white, you'll swear you're on the coast.

And the water is impossibly blue - especially for Texas!

In addition to swimming, you can also kayak and stand-up paddleboard at Comal Park.

If you don't have your own kayak or paddleboard, no worries! The parks rents them out to guests for an additional fee.

You'll also find two boat ramps to launch from. No matter how you choose to enjoy the beautiful water at Comal Park, rest assured you're in for a great time.

Additional park amenities include a playground, clean restrooms, a sand volleyball court, soccer goals, washer pits, and more.

If you're lucky, you may even spot some wildlife during your visit.

It's hard to believe this breathtaking place is hiding right in our own backyard. Even if you live on the coast like I do, it will become one of your new favorite warm weather destinations.
