You Haven’t Lived Until You’ve Experienced This One Incredible Lake In Texas

Canyon Lake is a must-see spot north of New Braunfels in the beautiful Texas Hill Country. Its waters are crystalline, its fish are plentiful, and its sunsets are those that only exist in our great state. If you need a summer vacation idea, I highly recommend coming here. It's both fun and peaceful, and I guarantee you'll enjoy yourself.

It's one of the deepest lakes in Texas with an average depth of 43 feet, making it great for fishing.

It has an abundance of Largemouth Bass, Catfish, and White & Striped Bass.

There are eight public parks along the shoreline that offer camping and have picnic tables and boat ramps so you can get the most out of your experience.

The water is blue as day, and it isn't nearly as crowded as some of Texas' more popular destinations like Lake Travis or Rayburn.

There are five communities located around the lake, so you won't have to drive far to find some good food or anything else you might need.

You can tour the Canyon Lake Gorge and see 100 million year old fossils and even dinosaur footprints!

The dam is a picturesque spot for photos - the water looks bluer, the sand whiter, and the gentle lakeside breeze feels amazing on your skin.

And if you go, make sure you stay until sunset. I mean, just look at that view - only in Texas, folks.

Have you ever been to Canyon Lake? Is it as beautiful as these pictures paint it to be? These other lakes in Texas are also extremely beautiful and worth visiting.
