This quaint little building on East 11th Street began its life as Hillside Drugstore in the 1950s. Owned by pharmacist Doc Young and his family, this community store was open until the 1970s.

The owners of Hillside Farmacy strive to preserve East Austin.

The Hillside Farmacy team restored this dilapidated building and turned it into a gorgeous restaurant. They were even awarded a Preservation Austin Award!

Hillside Farmacy still showcases the drug store's antique wooden display cases, tin ceiling, and tiled floor.
