This Underrated Park Might Just Be The Most Beautiful Place In South Dakota
Although it isn't the most popular or biggest state park in South Dakota, this place is downright beautiful and deserves a lot more recognition. If you haven't been here yet, definitely add it to your list of places to see this summer. The breathtaking reflective waters giving a mirror image of the towering cliffs and rock formations make it unique and gorgeous, and well worth a trip. Ladies and gentlemen, Palisades State Park:
The vibrantly colored rocky outcrops along the Split Rock Creek form amazing formations like these known as the King and Queen rocks.
All along the water, the cliffs and vegetation reflect into the surface below, creating beautiful shots like this one.
At night, the park is breathtaking, with pretty much no light pollution to tarnish the view of the stars above.
The park offers plenty of ways to enjoy it, whether through a day trip on the water or hiking the trails, or overnight at a campground.
