The Wilderness Park In South Dakota That Will Bring Out The Adventurer In You

Do you wish you could spend more time outdoors, but don't quite know where to start? Visit the Outdoor Campus in Sioux Falls to get some outdoor inspiration!

The Outdoor Campus is located at 4500 S. Oxbow Ave, in Sioux Falls.

This campus is managed by South Dakota Game, Fish & Parks. Its goal is to introduce kids and adults to outdoor adventures such as hiking, kayaking, hunting, fishing and more.

Inside, you'll find some fun, interactive displays and a huge fish tunnel that kids will love.

Outside, an outdoor recreation-themed playground is a perfect place to spend some time with the kids.

The Outdoor Campus offers classes and summer camps. The best part? They're free! Take a Family Paddling Class.

Sign up for the Shooting Basics Class, where you'll practice newfound skills with an air rifle or BB gun.

The Family Fishing Basics class is perfect for the whole family.

Even the littlest archers will enjoy the Archery Basics class (so will adults!)

Take a stroll to explore this place on your own.

The trails here take you through forest and along the river.

The Big Sioux River flows through the Outdoor Campus. Watch for ducks!

Visit The Outdoor Campus Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm; Saturday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm; Sunday from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
