This Charming Little Farm Is The Best Kept Secret In South Dakota

There's nothing like biting into a crisp fall apple, especially one that you've just picked yourself. Fall is right around the corner, and this little family-owned orchard will be opening in just a couple weeks. Make plans now to visit!

Country Apple Orchard was established in 1984. It's located near Sioux Falls, at 27249 SD Highway 115 in Harrisburg.

The orchard has around 6,000 apple trees.

The trees here produce 13 varieties of apples!

Bring your kids and make some apple picking memories they'll never forget.

On weekends, the little ones will enjoy a fun train ride.

Pony rides are also offered on weekends.

Choose your Halloween pumpkin at the orchard. They plant seven acres, so there's plenty to choose from.

They host five festivals throughout the fall, starting with the Family Fun Festival, held on September 9th and 10th in 2017. The festival includes inflatables, live entertainment, food vendors and more.

If you don't want to pick your own, you can buy some fresh-picked, bagged apples in the Country Store.

The Country Apple Orchard usually opens for the season on Labor Day weekend.

It's open Monday - Friday 10 AM to 6 PM; Saturday 10 AM to 5 PM; Sunday Noon to 5 PM.
