You won't need a lot of time - half an hour tops - for your stroll along the Whipple Conservation Area Loop Trail in Coventry.
The conservation area has a small parking lot.
The easy 1.1-mile trail meanders through a wooded area and, as long as they're on a leash, dogs are welcome.
While the trail, which will take you over the Best Buddy Bridge, is easy, you do have to pay attention as you walk. Hikers warn that there are quite a few roots that jut out of the ground.

The trail can get quite busy at times, so be prepared to run into other hikers. It sometimes gets quieter, with both adventurers and bugs, in the cooler months.
It's one of the best hidden adventures in all of Rhode Island.
