We all have our favorite place on the Rhode Island coast, whether we want to soak up the sun on a sandy beach or find a bit of solitude along the ocean's shore. Remember how a day at the beach, at least when we were kids, meant searching for seashells and sea glass? We'd stroll along the sand, looking for the most unique shells and glass, collecting them then sharing our finds with our friends or our siblings. Relive some of those moments at this hidden beach found in gorgeous Narragansett Rhode Island:
Whether you call it Fred Benson Town Beach or Crescent Beach, you'll find it's the perfect backdrop for a day outdoors, especially during the summertime.
The popular Block Island beach draws beachgoers with its sandy shore and ample space for setting up camp with a beach blanket, an umbrella, and a cooler.
You don't even have to pack the car with all of your beach gear, if you don't feel like it. Instead, rent your chairs and umbrella right at the beach.
Known as Block Island's most popular and busiest beach, Crescent Beach also features a concession stand. Grab a bite to eat and a drink to keep you energized for a day of fun.
It also has showers and bathrooms, which means you have all the necessities for a stress-free beach day.
When you're not soaking up the sun or frolicking in the water, grab a bucket and start searching for seashells and sea glass.
You never know what treasures you'll find.
Head over to the official website of Block Island for more information. Or, check out its Facebook page.
