Get Ready To Bundle Up, The Farmers’ Almanac is Predicting Significant Cold Temperatures This Winter In Pennsylvania

Who's ready for another winter in Pennsylvania? Whether you love it or hate it, you have to admit winter is never boring around here, especially when snow's in the forecast. Every year the Farmers' Almanac releases its forecast for the upcoming winter, which gives us a head's up as to what we can probably expect. This year's forecast? Well, you might want to start preparing now because predictions are for "significant shivers" and plenty of snow and ice throughout the state.

Prepare for an eventful winter in Pennsylvania for 2022-2023, at least that's what the Farmers' Almanac predicts, which forecasts significant cold through the Northeast. The entire Northeast, in fact, should brace for what the Farmers' Almanac calls "significant shivers," and snowy, slushy, and icy conditions throughout the season.

Don't expect too much snow in the remaining months of 2022. Unfortunately, we're looking at a green Christmas with wet snow expected in the days leading up to Christmas. By Christmas Eve, however, that snow is expected to change over to rain.

We'll ring in 2023 with rain and cold, but the real fun begins just a few days into the New Year when the Alberta Clipper is expected to dump snow throughout Pennsylvania. Temperatures will also drop significantly.

Stock up on bread, milk, and toilet paper because we could see up to a half of a foot of snow.

January's temperatures will plunge, turning "bitterly cold," according to predictions. Prepare for below zero temps in some areas. February looks to be a mixed bag of cold, snow, and rain. The month will end on a beautiful note, though, with temperatures hovering in the 50s and 60s.

Expect that same mixed bag in March with rain showers greeting us on the first day of spring.

We'll experience a little bit of everything this winter in Pennsylvania, according to this year's Farmers' Almanac predictions. January looks to be the snowiest month with bitterly cold temperatures throughout the season.
