Discover a majestic secret waterfall in Pennsylvania, Shohola Falls, tucked in Shohola Township in the Poconos at the end of the short but sweet Shohola Falls Trail.
In fact, slip on a pair of comfy shoes and park in the parking lot near Shohola Falls Cabins before setting off on the .06-mile loop trail.
Shohola Falls Trail will take you down a set of wooden stairs. But, be careful if you're visiting after a rainfall or in the winter as the stairs can become slippery when wet or icy.
However, you'll definitely want to visit the falls during the colder months, too, as the frozen Shohola Falls, dangling with artistic icicles, are simply spellbinding.
Along the short hike, you'll also pass Shohola Dam, set against the backdrop of lush trees. (For really amazing views of the dam, visit during the fall when the trees have turned.)
Of course, you might just hear the rushing of the waterfall that stands 50 feet tall and 75 feet wide.
Drink in spectacular views from three sides of the waterfall, and remember to be careful where you walk as the trail around the waterfall can become slippery.
When it comes to impressive Pennsylvania waterfalls, Sholola Falls certainly tops the list.
