There’s No Other Park In America Quite Like This One In Pennsylvania
When it comes to visiting our parks, we're use to having to pack a good pair of sneakers, water, snacks and whatever else we may want to have with us for the day. But what if we told you that there's a place worth visiting that will have you cracking open your tool box? You heard us right! A long-loved treasure of Pennsylvania, this park is unlike anything you've ever seen in America.
Tucked away right near our state border, Ringing Rocks Park will bring out the adventurer in you.
A natural wonder of Bucks County, this secluded park within the woods makes for an unforgettable day trip.
The main attraction of the park is a seven-acre sea of boulders that will instantly drop your jaw.
A unique feature discovered back in the late 1800s, the rocks that you'll find here have the power to act as a musical instrument.
Bring a hammer with you and prepare to feel like a rockstar as you strike down on the rocks to hear what sounds just like a bell!
All the way back in 1890, a man by the name of J.J. Ott put on the performance of a lifetime for the Buckwampum Historical Society. Ott had stumbled upon the 10-foot deep sea of boulders, eventually discovering that the rocks here harnessed musical talent. In the mid 1960s scientists began to crack down on what could be the reasoning behind the rocks being able to sing. The scientists would come to conclude that all of the rocks here have the power to ring, but some do so at a tone too low for humans to hear!
