However, if you prefer a bit of adventure, you can also follow the Loyalsock Trail. Spanning 3.6 miles, the picturesque trail is considered moderate, so be prepared for somewhat of a challenge.

The trail tends to be quiet, so it’s perfect if you’re craving tranquility. Make sure you wear comfy, sturdy shoes that you don’t mind getting a bit messed up, as the trail can get pretty muddy.

Whether you drive or hike to High Knob Overlook, you’re in for a one-of-a-kind experience. The overlook sits 2,047 feet above sea level.

Expansive views of most of Loyalsock State Forest and the darling town of Hillsgrove are showcased from the overlook.
