Nestled in Mill Run, Bear Run Nature Reserve, a little over an hour from downtown Pittsburgh, is perhaps best known for Fallingwater.
However, even if you're going on a guided tour at the famous Frank Lloyd Wright home, you'll definitely want to carve out time to visit the nature reserve too.
Boasting more than 5,000 acres, Bear Run Nature Reserve offers a whole lot of fun for nature lovers - from camping to hiking trails.
The trail is on Fallingwater property, so you'll have to pay a fee that includes parking and exploring the grounds.
The nature reserve's home to an assortment of wildlife - from black bears to bobcats - as well as dozens of bird species and more than 500 different types of plants.
The best way to explore the sprawling nature reserve is on one of its hiking trails.
For some of the best views in the nature reserve, lace up your hiking shoes for a trek along the .05-mile Paradise Overlook Trail.
The trail's rated easy and kid-friendly, although you may run into some rocky areas. Just keep an eye out as you're walking.
Paradise Overook is, of course, the highlight of the short but sweet trail and offers sweeping views of the Youghiogheny River Gorge.
