Escape To Jacoby Falls For A Beautiful Pennsylvania Nature Scene

Jacoby Falls in Pennsylvania offers a picturesque hiking experience with a stunning waterfall and natural beauty year-round.

Finding pockets of tranquility to which we can escape is pretty easy (and satisfying), especially since we live in PA. Jacoby Falls in Pennsylvania, for example, is a picture-perfect destination, brimming with natural wonders, no matter what time of the year you visit. In fact, it might just become your new go-to hideaway among nature when you need a break from it all.

You'll have to follow Jacoby Hollow Trail, an out and back trail that clocks in at 3.3 miles roundtrip, to come upon Jacoby Falls, a gorgeous waterfall.

However, along the way, you'll be treated to jaw-dropping natural beauty. Stay on the path by following the white and yellow markers, which you'll see on the trees.

Stroll along the tree-lined path that can get pretty rocky at times and, if you're visiting during the winter, be prepared to deal with icy patches.

The trail also features quite a few roots, so you'll probably want to watch where you're walking. (Jacoby Hollow Trail is both kid and dog-friendly.)

In the springtime, the landscape's dotted with colorful flowers. Take a moment to stop and smell the flowers and maybe take a photo or two.

One of the highlights of the trail is, undoubtedly, Jacoby Falls, a tumbling waterfall that's surrounded by chiseled rocks and lush green.

The waterfall is particularly striking when frozen in the winter. However, there are times during the year when the waterfall is little more than a trickle. Your best bet is to visit after a rainfall or a winter thaw.

You might want, in fact, to journey along the trail in each season - to admire the foliage in the fall, the snowy landscape in the winter, and the majestic green in the spring and in the summer.

Stop by the official website of Tiadaghton State Forest for more information. You can also find a trail map on All Trails.
