Every Pennsylvanian arguably knows that if you want to see waterfalls - and a lot of them - we just need to journey to Ricketts Glen State Park, which boasts 21 waterfalls. If you love waterfalls, you'll also want to add Bushkill Falls in Pennsylvania to your bucket list. Like Ricketts Glen State Park, it promises an abundance of natural beauty.
Bushkill Falls beckons countless visitors from Pennsylvania and beyond with its eight cascading waterfalls and its reputation as "The Niagara Falls of Pennsylvania."
Unlike Pennsylvania's state parks, however, you have to pay admission to enter the park. (Admission helps provide for the continued care of the park.) Find current ticket prices.
While the park offers numerous activities, you'll likely want to start by setting off on one of the trails that will take you to the waterfalls.
Bushkill Falls features four trails - the green, blue, yellow, and red. If you want to see all of the waterfalls, follow the Red Trail.
Carve out at least two hours for the two-mile hike that leads to Main Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, Lower Gorge Falls, and the rest of the waterfalls.
You'll probably want to decide which trail to follow based on the length and difficulty rating.
Keep an eye out for local wildlife as you're hiking, too. You may spot fawns, rabbits, squirrels, and even black bears. Bird watchers will also be able to spot a collection of birds, from ducks to owls.
Bushkill Falls also features a full menu of fun activities, including miniature golf, paddleboats, and mining for gemstones. You can even grab a bite to eat or bring a picnic.
Explore the eight beautiful waterfalls of Bushkill Falls daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Due to the ongoing pandemic, guests will have to follow some COVID guidelines to ensure their and others' safety.
